Well, the deed is done. I got my hair cut. The pony tail is gone, probably for good. At this point my hair has been long/growing long for 18 years, and I'm 36, so that makes half my life with long hair. No more. The gal at SuperCuts did a really good job, fiannaharpar loves the new look, and even Pooky has complimented my hair about three times. I've uploaded my first gallery here, so take a look at all the before and after shots when you have a chance. But, in case you don't, here's what you'll see of me now:


Yeah, pretty significant. :-) But my sweetie runs her fingers up and down the back of my head now and I liiiiiiike it! I will freely admit to having long hair cuz chicks dig it, but now short hair is sexy too, so I don't have as much of a problem. There's room to grow it out some, tastefully, but it's going to stay like this for a while.
