The Musician's Musings

1. The school year is down to 10 calendar days/8 weekdays/4 days where kids are actually gonna show up! Yay!
2. fiannaharpar's all day presentation today went super-duper well, despite her having a sore throat! Double-yay!!
3. I will be receiving mp3s of "Dans Profundo", as well as the good version of "People Rejoice" and "I Seek Your Face" in the near future! Triple-yay!!!!

I admit to being a selfish artist and being most excited about #2, but the thought of getting those tracks on mp3, and then being able to burn a CD with *several* (though not all) of my recent works, plus capability of mass-burning (sounds religious, no?) 4 CDs at a time on my colleague's machine, is making me more giddy than I think I ought to be. But what the hey.

1) Football with friends: fiannaharpar, jcipia, sk4p, drquuxum, and let's not forget lstrobel!

2) Seeing my little girl participate in our church's little tableaux in her sheep's hat and tabard with me dressed as Joseph- and then she yells, "Daddy, Daddy!" (I can see the tabloid- Husband of Mary secretly fathered illigitimate livestock?? Read more about it in the Bethlehem Star!!)

3) 2-hour delay at school!

Today's Thankful Three:

1) I'm thankful that I live in a country that has free elections, faulted though some of them may be.
2) I'm thankful that I have and exercise my right to free speech.
3) I'm thankful that I am seeing more of my friends and loved ones determined to stay and fight the fight rather than turn and run.

And, becuase today's special, a bonus:
4) I'm thankful I've been with my beloved Jenn for 5 years on this day. :-) I love you, sweetie.

1. For the music of Ray Charles. That's what I say.

2. For the opportunity to spend time today with my wonderful wife and see a movie (in a theater, mind you) (or, for fraterrisus, /thee-ay'-tur/ ;-})for the first time in frickin' forever.

3. For Lake's excitement and pride in naming the parts of my face correctly, and knowing the words for some of them. It do my heart good.
