Thankful three

1) Hot tubs and the friends to hang out in them.
2) Completed music projects and the excitment of more.
3) An adorable 2-year old napping peacefully on my cheek while laying in bed, then giving two cheery kisses to her mother upon waking.
--#3 is especially appreciated after being awakened last night by crying at 3:20AM and discovering your daughter shivering and shrieking because a battery-operated toy wand is going off again and again and again, scaring the bejeezus out of her. I held her for a few minutes with blankets on her to settle her down and warm her up before I put her back to bed. The poor thing thought it was time to get up ("Go downstairs?") but I told her it was time for more sleep. She cried for another 15 minutes or so but eventually fell back asleep. And I swear this morning has been one of her most cheerful mornings since we moved into the house. I mean actually enjoyable, with her being cooperative, helpful, cute (again she said: "I'm funny!") and good natured. Amazing.
