The land line at our house is now dead-dead-dead. This is a good thing, because for some dumb reason the service to this house was never disconnected in the first place. I finally got the right people talking and the line was shut off this morning, allowing me to call MCI and get the service we ordered last friggin' month connected properly. This should happen by 6:30 tomorrow evening, and then the number that we said we'd have when we moved in will actually work.
