Just finished watching "Transformers" on DVD, and yes, my sweetie got me the transforming dual DVD case! Yay! The movie was still great, and [livejournal.com profile] fiannaharpar got to see it for the first time. We popped in the 2nd DVD to check out the cool extras. Characters, storyline, training, yeahyeahyeah...

No robots.

I want scenes about designing the damn robots- you know, the cool toys??? They have alllll that eye candy with the jumping transformation scenes in slo-mo, and I want to see more! Is that too much to ask? All the special effects, updating the robot characters, where iz it???

...But then I'm a fanboy.

Or so it seems. Ever since Chatham started going I haven't had time to read LJ at all in the last few weeks. I know I've missed tons of entries, and dey ain't no way I'm catching up. Hell, I'm not even reading through them tonight, I just figured I'd post. So here are my thoughts from the past month plus.

-Tomorrow is the morning assembly performance of "Chomp," the Stomp-like percussion group at the Chatham Day Camp. We made shirts and everything. All the instruments are painted, the music's been practiced, and this'll be our first performance. Should be exciting, as there's actually been a buzz about this whole project. :-)

-Car repairs are a bitch, if you haven't figured that one out yet.

-I'm hoping the humidity will finally break tomorrow like a bad fever. I can deal with 90+ degree weather, but mid-80s with 105% humidity are sheer torture. I feel like I've sweat nearly half my body weight in the past week. Which I wish I had, since I've discovered that I've regained all the weight I lost during my first year teaching at Johnston Elementary. Oh well.

Drat!!

Of course it's raining today, killing any plans of taking the whippersnappers outside. Maybe I can still take them down to the cafe-gym-eria or something. *sigh* This time next week, see-yuh!

(Thank God it's this close to the end of the school year)

I had the privelege of wasting 15 minutes of my morning commute going to the post office to pick up a certified letter telling my to cut my f**king yard. It's a letter that I already recieved non-certified, and have already taken care of the situation. Oh, on the way there, a right turn enabled my trumpet, on the passenger floor, to knock over my coffee mug and spill coffee on my seat and my pants. Good thing [livejournal.com profile] lstrobel did well and there was a cute woman who interacted with her at the post office. And, as my title said, it's this friggin' close to the year being over.

On a brighter note, I had a great talk with my beautiful wife last night about SCA stuff and getting on the same page with her about our priorities, projects, and overall goals. It's great having those kind of talks and feeling both understanding and understood, sharing and shared with. Now I wanna hit people with my new polearm. >:-)

*grumble*

I'm tired and my roll for motivation has come up a 1.

That, and I forgot my lunch.

Ladies and gentlemen, praise the powers that be it's Friday.
