![]() Mellow and serious, you enjoy time alone cultivating your talents. You're a cool dog, and you always present a relaxed vibe. A talented pianist, you can play almost anything - especially songs by Beethoven. "My bark is worse than my bite, and my piano playing beats 'em both." |
iPod not full enough yet?
May. 6th, 2006 09:01 pmWhile I have never succumb to the iPod craze, and probably never will, I have found a reasonable substitute, and am going to share with everyone. It's called Pandora and is a website that plays music off the Music Genome Project. It's great. Fantabulous. You enter a song or artist, and a station is created based off of it. Each song is broken down into elements like "minor tonailty", "subtle vocal harmony", "political lyrics", "exceptional musicianship", "hard rock roots" and dozens others. It then finds other songs that fit the description of the artist you selected and plays you songs that you may have never heard before. You get to tell it if you like it or not, ask why it played the song (where it spews the above descriptions), buy the song or album, and other stuff. I love this. I can finally hear different flavors of music I like, and get to hold the search to a narrow field. I have three stations set up already- Hard Prog, a capella/eclectic, and a station built on the music of TMBG and Red Hot Chili Peppers (haven't listened to that one yet...). If you're looking for other sources of audio distraction, go to this site!
