Another development: As a member of ASCAP, I have access to their "Project Collaboration" page on their website, which is like a b-board without the messages. If you have a project and want others' help, you check what you do (lyricist, composer, librettist, electronica, etc) and who you're looking for, and if it's geographically limited or not. That shows up on the board for others who are looking for opportunities (frantically waves hands in air) to click if interested. You send an email to the project poster, who sees your profile and responds if desired.
Currently I'm corresponding to a guy in Philly who does lyrics. I'm going to try to write him some music. He has contacts. Cross your fingers, and Lord above give me some spiff ideas.
