Happy 174th Texas' Independence Day!

Since I know the flag will come down for the first Stillers game (vs. the Texans, no less), I finally got a pic of my glorious Texas flag flyin' high in our yard. My lovely wife was the one who flew it, much to my surprise and delight.
In trying to figure out how my TX/PA allegience runs, I think the text block is accurate. Note the last 'N' is blue with the yellow background. Really, it is.

He just got called to get a liver transplant. I will know in a couple of hours if the doctors approve it. This will save his life, and necessitate that Lake and I not fly to Houston tomorrow as scheduled.

Sports recap
Bummed that Texas A&M lost. Really bummed that UT lost, and that Cody was injured. But, that's NCAA.
The Texans won. Against Jag-off-ville. Again. Holy crap. Y'know, they still have the same record as the Steelers. Ponder that one.
And yes, the local black 'n {Steeler}gold won, against my second favorite team, the Saints. I think that Nawlens will be able to bounce back ok, Drew had another kick-ass night. And I don't want the Steelers to suck, really I don't. I'm ok with liking this team. I'm still a Houston fan, though, and always will be.
So, enough useless babbling.

I am on spring break.

I am going to get a saxophone today, along with other things.
And, there's a 12 pound package of meat that arrived from my parents this morning. Included are: venison backstrap, venison sausage (german and polish), and chipped BBQ beef from Joe's Barbeque in Alvin, Texas. Oh. My. Deah. Lawd. I haven't had this stuff in a couple of years, and I juxt polished off 2 BBQ sammiches. Yummmmm. I just need to put the rest in the freezer.
