I had a great Father's Day. LJ has eaten my wonderful entry about VeggieTales, Sonic, grilling tools, and listing all the dads I know on LJ. I will not attempt to recreate that entry. Sonic is yummy, and if you are a dad out there, I hope you had a fan-fricking-tastic Father's Day. Thus endeth the truncated entry.

Adding some new dads to the list!

Happy Father's Day to [livejournal.com profile] happysteve (new!), [livejournal.com profile] lordandrei (new!), [livejournal.com profile] dlatimer (gonna have another!!), [livejournal.com profile] brkdwn_palace, [livejournal.com profile] hearne, and [livejournal.com profile] tadatsune! I hope your days are memorable and enjoyable. For you new dad's, I'll share my thoughts on my first my first Father's Day.

As for me, I had a morning of sleeping in (yay!) and am working on my morning coffee while the wife and daughter are watching Blue's Clues. We shall go to church, come home, and then I have no idea what else we'll do. :-) After the last two days of activity, maybe takin' it easy would be wise, especially since I start Chatham Day Camp tomorrow.

Before I forget, Happy Father's Day to Fred and Dave, and soon-to-be dads Andrei and Steve. Sorry no lj-tags, gotta go to bed. And any dads I'm missing out there, I hope y'all had a great day!

Had a nice breakfast at Pamela's, but then our dear, sweet daughter decided to go ipso-nutso. Let's just say that we put her down for her nap at 11:30, and around 1:15 she finally went to sleep. She needed the sleep. She just didn't know it. Nor want to believe it. I wonder where she gets it...

My lovely wife made a great dinner, including Hungarian rice! That was my staple growing up, and I haven't had it in quite a long time. I got cool cards from her and the pookster. So it was a good day.

Tomorrow starts day camp.

I'm in later than yesterday because [livejournal.com profile] lstrobel's daycare had a Father's Day breakfast this morning, which was a lot of fun. I got to have breakfast with my cute daughter, who in fact loves food (it's true!), and she seemed to have fun too. From there I went to Squill to mail out Father's Day cards that I forgot to buy yesterday, and now I'm just here to do some cleaning. It's late enough that I want to do anything really involved, but cleaning up will make it a little easier once I resume doing my inventory.

I ran into the building rep in Squill, who's good friends with the principal. She wasn't in the last week of school and nobody knew what was going on. She will be in next week, and the word I've heard is that this past year has just been really hard for her. I won't disclose details, but it's certainly understandable. I was relieved to hear that.

Well, I'd better finish up so I don't die from sweating in here. Yeah, 100% humidity in a 7'x12' office, that's my work environment buddy.
